Our Minister-in-Placement, Rev. Orrell Battersby, and his wife, Christine, have now finalised their placement with Uniting 4570.
We are so very grateful for Orrell’s ministry and the journey he’s taken us on over
3 years – the visions and dreams both he and Christine have encouraged us to have and to cultivate, guiding us in implementing change as we go forth in the commission Jesus has given us.
Orrell and Christine have left us with ignited passion and an exciting legacy. Orrell has walked with us along the road of discipleship through training, his messages and
his day-to-day encouragement; all based on his wealth of knowledge and experience gained over many years and across three continents.
They have recently been on annual and long service leave and are already missed.
We value their friendship and we continue to pray for them as they go forward wherever Christ may lead.
Uniting 4570 is now in the process of prayerfully seeking our next Minister-in-Placement. We currently have two very experienced, supportive and wonderful supply ministers – Rev. David Fanning and Rev. Dr. Peter Hall – who have been an answer to prayer. We appreciate their dedication and their ability to seamlessly step into the life of our church during this interim period. We are blessed.
